Welcome to Shri Sant Eknath Maharaj Charitable Trust, a registered non-profit organization (Reg. No. E-665, Dharashiv) dedicated to uplifting our community in Ghargaon, Taluka Kalamb, District Dharashiv, Maharashtra. Inspired by the teachings and compassion of the great Sant Eknath Maharaj, we strive to serve the most vulnerable among us.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide essential care, support, and opportunities to those in need within our community. We believe in creating a society where the elderly are respected, women are empowered, and all living beings are treated with kindness.
Feeding Dignity, One Meal at a Time
The Crisis: Many elders who have been abandoned by their families. Without a roof over their heads or a kitchen to call their own, they are the most vulnerable members of our society.
Our Story: Shri Sant Eknath Maharaj Chartable Trust was founded on the principle of Seva (Service). We realized that building a home takes time, but hunger cannot wait. That is why our team operates a daily mobile kitchen.
Our Work Today: Currently, we support 137 elders. While we do not yet have a large central building to house everyone, we reach them wherever they are on the roadsides, under bridges, and in small shanties. We provide:
- Freshly Cooked Meals: Balanced nutrition prepared with love.
- Medical Basics: Emergency medicine for our registered elders.
- Dignified Presence: Showing them they are not forgotten.
Our Vision: With your support, we are working toward a permanent “Vridhashram” (Old Age Home) building in Pune. This will allow us to provide 24/7 medical care and a safe bed for all 137 of our residents.
